On 14th of December 2012, the “2012 Christmas & New Year Party” was held by International Education College. Almost 160 participants including degree students, Chinese language students and staff of SMU joined the annually grand activity.
JIN Yongxing, vice president of SMU, gave an opening speech in which he expressed his gratefulness to all staff involved in the organization of the party, and he also gave warmly wishes to all international students. He encouraged international students to study hard, get used to the campus life, and grow together with SMU.
The party was co-hosted by oversea students in fluent Chinese, whose funny and interesting hosting style made the party very lively. Wonderful shows were prepared by oversea students and all their performances won warm applaud from all people being present.
After the shows, SHI Chaojian, head of International Education College, proposed a toast. Later on, all staff and oversea students enjoyed a happy lunch together.
