Dear Int’l Students,
The University cordially invites all newly admitted students to the opening ceremony of the 2020/2021 academic year which will be held offline at the Lingang campus.
Details to the offline ceremony are as follow:
The event will also be telecasted live online via the university’s various social media handles such as Douyin (TikTok), Bilibili Station and WeChat platform for students outside China.
To watch the live telecast of the opening ceremony, students outside China should follow the steps below;
- Scan the official QR code of Shanghai Maritime University on WeChat (please,refer to pic 1. below for QR code). On the official WeChat platform, click on “Opening Ceremony” (開學典禮) at the lower-left corner;
- Follow Shanghai Maritime University on TikTok (Douyin) with the official ID "hellosmu" or scan the official QR code (please,refer to pic 2. below for QR code) to watch the event;
- To watch the opening ceremony on Bilibili Station, enter the university’s link 進入http://live.bilibili.com/22321160 or scan the QR Code (please,refer to pic 3. below for QR code);
In attendance will be leaders of the university, deans of various colleges and departments, deputy secretaries of all colleges, teachers and all newly admitted students. University staffs, distinguished dignitaries and selected students will be at the gymnasium (central venue) with other students taking part in the ceremony at the third teaching building of the university campus.
Note:
- Selected students who will be at the main venue should be in formal attire (black suit, white shirt with tie and black shoe).
- All newly admitted students both in China and outside are implored to be in attendance
