The University would like students to take note of the following updates on COVID-19 in China.
URUMQI -- Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region recorded 22 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 19 asymptomatic ones on Tuesday, as reported by the regional health commission Wednesday, 21st October. The cases were reported in Shufu, a County in south Xinjiang's Kashgar Prefecture. As of Tuesday, 20th October. 2020, Xinjiang had recorded a total of 22 confirmed cases and 161 asymptomatic cases , all in Shufu County.
The medium and high-risk areas of COVID-19 in China are as follows:
1. HIGH-RISK AREAS: Zhanmin Township, Tokzake Town, Wukusake Town, Sayibag Township, Shufu County, Kashgar, Xinjiang.
2. MEDIUM-RISK AREAS: Other townships in Shufu County, Kashgar, Xinjiang, Qingdao Loushanhou Community.
Note:
1. Due to the recent outbreak of the epidemic in some cities, international students are reminded not to travel outside Shanghai. For students in high risk areas of the epidemic, it is recommended to postpone their travel to Shanghai.
2. All overseas countries are still considered as high-risk areas.
