According to the scholarship regulations, the scholarship annual review of 2021 will begin. The annual review for International Students of Shanghai Maritime University covers students under the Chinese Government Scholarship, Shanghai Government Scholarship. This review is mandatory for both full scholarship and partial scholarship beneficiaries. Students who applied to extend their study period due to certain reasons are also required to partake in this review. The exempted students are those expected to graduate in 2021.
The results of the scholarship review will determine the continuity of the student’s scholarship status for the next academic year. Students who fails to partake in this review will be regarded unqualified and it will affect their scholarship status for the next academic year.
Procedure
1. Scholarship students should download “Form for Annual Review of Chinese Government Scholarship Status” and “Form for Annual Review of Shanghai Government Scholarship Status” from the attachment, fill it out and send a PDF version with an electronic signature to IEC (SMUIEC365@163.com) before April 25th.
2. Each college completes the comprehensive assessment based on the student’s academic and overall performance.
3. The International Education College (International Students Office) will organize a scholarship review committee to determine the final results based on consideration of the student’s self-assessment and the assessment of their college.
4. The results of the scholarship review will be released by International Education College (International Students Office).
